How to Check a Mixed-Size Clothing Delivery for Two Children

When clothing for two children arrives together, match each product code to the intended recipient before comparing size or fit. Check the selected variant and actual measurements separately for every item. Similar age labels, colours or garments can make a mixed order easy to confuse.

A simple item-to-recipient record is more useful than sorting everything from memory. Keep photographs and any concern with the correct garment until the order has been checked.

Prepare the order record

Use the final order selection rather than an earlier wishlist. Write the intended recipient beside each QC code and selected size. If you changed a size or chose an alternative before payment, update the record so it reflects what was actually ordered.

Keep each child's reference garment measurements separate. Two children can use similar label sizes while needing different chest widths, lengths or sleeve measurements. The children's measurement guide and size guide support that comparison.

An item-by-item checking sheet

Use one row for each garment
Recipient QC code Ordered variant Received details Check result
Child A Your actual code Selected size and colour Code, label, condition and relevant dimensions Confirmed or a specific open question
Child B Your actual code Selected size and colour Code, label, condition and relevant dimensions Confirmed or a specific open question

Check identity before measurements

  1. Identify the item and compare it with the ordered QC code.
  2. Check the selected size or variant against the order record.
  3. Review the visible condition before washing or alteration.
  4. Compare the relevant dimensions using matching tape points.
  5. Record any concern under the correct recipient and item.

Do not reassign a garment to the other child simply because its age label appears similar. Decide whether it suits the intended wearer using the actual measurements and the household's preference, and keep that decision separate from whether the correct item was supplied.

Example: two similar sweatshirts

Suppose an order contains two sweatshirts in related colours. One is intended for Child A and one for Child B. Keep their codes visible while checking the labels and measurements. If a sleeve-length question concerns one sweatshirt, photograph that item's tape position and record its code rather than sending an unlabeled close-up of both together.

For a set sold with a top and bottom, check both pieces for the intended child. A shared set label does not establish that every dimension of both pieces matches the reference outfit.

If something needs clarification

Send support the order reference, the relevant product code and the exact concern with useful photographs. State the garment's actual condition. Consult the current exchange and return policy before washing, altering or removing evidence you may need for the enquiry.

The general delivery checklist covers arrival inspection; this worksheet adds recipient-by-recipient organisation. Browse current girls' clothing and boys' clothing with each child's separate reference record for future orders.
